The vascular malformations gene panel contains genes involved
in hereditary forms of vascular malformations.
The analysis is aimed at finding constitutional (germline) mutations.
If there is a suspicion of a form of vascular malformations caused by
somatic mutations (e.g. in genes in the PIK3CA/MTOR pathway):
the Segmental overgrowth/vascular malformations panel should be
requested
(preferably on DNA isolated from affected tissue).
